World Aids Day

Support World AIDS Day

The 1st of December is World AIDS Day. 2008 marks the 20th anniversary of World AIDS Day. There are an estimated 33 million people living with HIV and some 7,400 more people becoming infected every day. Today is day set aside to raise awareness and to remind those around us that our actions make a difference in ending this epidemic.

O.K. this is going to sound like a Starbucks advertisement, which is ironic since I don't drink coffee. But...

Starbucks is going Red for World Aids day and giving 5¢ to the Global Fund for every hand-crafted Starbucks beverage sold today at participating US and Canada locations. Then through out holiday (November 27, 2008 and January 2, 2009) Starbucks will be serving (STARBUCKS)RED™ EXCLUSIVE beverages and will donate 5¢ for each drink purchasedto the Global Fund to help save lives in Africa.
